The R-type spherical roller bearing (two piece finger type) is contributing to a quiet operation by reducing the vibration. Our spherical roller bearings are also available with the following options:

  • Machined bronze retainer which is ideal for higher speed operation and ensures better performance under marginal lubrication conditions.
  • Asymmetrical roller design, which reduces sliding friction and has less tendency for roller skew while operating (R & RR types); this type uses two sets of convex asymmetrical rollers separated by a central inner ring rib.
  • Symmetrical roller design (RH Type Spherical Roller Bearing) with two rows of longer symmetrical roller and only a center guide ring instead of a rib.
  • R and RH Type Spherical Roller Bearings are also available with lubrication holes and grooves, which optimizes lubricant capability.
    Self-alignment feature accommodates up to 2 misalignments.

The Koyo 6000 series is a deep groove ball bearing made from quality vacuum-degassed high carbon chromium bearing steel resulting in superior bearing life. Due to the deep groove geometry the bearing can withstand high speeds, radial loads, and axial loads. Also, with standard ABEC 1 precision tolerances and larger C3 clearance bearings maintain alignment and stability even at higher temperatures (120 degrees C/248 degrees F). The 6000 series bearings utilize steel or polyamide cages to equally separate balls. This ensures loads are distributed evenly and reduces friction, increase speed, and dampens noise and vibration. In addition, the series provides options for a sealed bearings or unsealed bearings. Sealed bearings utilize a shield or rubber seal to keep contaminates such as dirt and grime out and lubricant in and are packed with Mobil Polyrex EM for lifetime lubrication. Unsealed bearings allow for in place lubrication addition and replacement. The Koyo 6000 series can be used in various applications including transmissions, electric motors, pumps, robots, and gear boxes. Rolling bearings use rolling elements to maintain the separation between moving parts to reduce rotational friction and support radial and axial loads. These elements can be one of the following types: ball, cylindrical, spherical, barrel, needle, spindle, or tapered. All rolling bearings are open, shielded, or sealed. Sealed bearings are lubricated with oil or grease in the bearing factory, while open and shielded bearings are meant to be lubricated in place, with periodic reapplication of lubrication, based on use. The shield protects the working parts of the bearing from environmental debris that may be introduced and could reduce the ball bearing speed and lifespan. Rolling bearings are used in a range of applications from agricultural machinery to conveying equipment, robotics, dental equipment, elevators, rolling mills, ship rudder shafts, and aggregate crushers, among others.

KOYO ANGULAR BEARINGS

Designed for high accuracy and excellent high-speed performance. Angular contact ball bearings are designed to carry combined loads: both axial and radial.

Angular contact bearings are designed such that a contact angle between the races and the balls is formed when the bearing is in use. The major design characteristic of this type of bearing is that one, or both of the ring races have one shoulder relieved, or higher than the other. In order for these bearings to function properly, they must be assembled with a thrust load. This loading (or preload) creates a line of contact (or contact angle) between the inner race, the ball and the outer race. The preload can be built into the bearing or created when the bearing is inserted into an assembly. The contact angle varies from 15° to 40° and is measured relative to a line running perpendicular to the bearing axis. Angular contact bearings are unidirectional thrust bearings that can withstand heavy thrust loads and moderate radial loads.

Cylindrical roller bearings of this type are double row precision bearings for machine tools. They allow radially rigid, high precision bearing arrangements and are mainly used for the radial support of main spindles.

The bearings comprise solid outer rings without ribs, solid inner rings with three ribs and cylindrical roller and cage assemblies with solid brass cages. For optimum setting of the radial internal clearance, the inner ring has a tapered bore with a taper of 1:12. The cylindrical roller bearings can be dismantled and are therefore easier to fit and remove. Both bearing rings can therefore have an interference fit.

Deep groove ball bearings are versatile, self-retaining bearings with solid outer rings, inner rings and ball and cage assemblies. These products are of simple design, durable in operation and easy to maintain; they are available in single and double row designs and and in open and sealed variants. Due to the production technology used, open bearings can still have turned recesses on the outer ring for seals or shields.

Due to their low frictional torque, they are suitable for high speeds.
